Day-by-day itinerary

Arrival in Arusha
We meet you at Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport and take you to your hotel. In the evening your guide briefs you on the days ahead and answers your questions.
Overnight: Arusha hotel (your first night is on us)

Tarangire National Park
A two-hour drive to Tarangire for a full day of game drives among baobabs and large elephant herds.
Overnight: Tarangire Simba Lodge

To the Karatu highlands
A morning game drive in Tarangire, then a short drive up to Karatu, a cool green farming area just outside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The afternoon is yours to rest or walk.

Ngorongoro Crater, then back to Arusha
An early start from Karatu, just 30 minutes from the crater gate, to the Ngorongoro Crater. Down on the crater floor you spend the morning on a game drive, with a good chance of black rhino, lions and big herds of buffalo and zebra. After a picnic lunch we drive back to Arusha or the airport.
