Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Arrival in Arusha

    We meet you at Kilimanjaro or Arusha airport and take you to your hotel. In the evening your guide briefs you on the days ahead and answers your questions.

    Overnight: Arusha hotel (your first night is on us)

  2. Tarangire National Park

    A two-hour drive to Tarangire for a full day of game drives among baobabs and elephants.

    Overnight: Ang'ata Tarangire Camp

  3. To the Western Serengeti

    A long and scenic drive across the Ngorongoro highlands and the Serengeti plains to the western part of the park, game driving on the way.

    Overnight: Serengeti Simba Lodge

  4. Western Serengeti

    A full day in the Western Serengeti, a quieter part of the park with far fewer vehicles.

    Overnight: Serengeti Simba Lodge

  5. Central Serengeti

    Game drives east into the central Serengeti around Seronera, known for its big cats.

    Overnight: Out in Africa Serengeti Camp

  6. To the crater rim

    A last morning in the Serengeti, then up into the Ngorongoro highlands for a quiet evening at your camp.

    Overnight: Embalakai Ngorongoro

  7. Ngorongoro Crater, then back to Arusha

    Down into the crater early, before most vehicles arrive, for a morning game drive on the crater floor. After a picnic lunch we drive back to Arusha or the airport.
